Royal Caribbean’s Star of the Seas: Early Debut and Showcase Cruises
Royal Caribbean’s Star of the Seas is set to debut earlier than planned on August 23, 2025. The expedited delivery allows for two new showcase cruises departing from Port Canaveral on August 23 and 27, before the official inaugural cruise on August 31. These sailings will include a stop at Perfect Day at CocoCay, Royal Caribbean’s private island.
Passengers booked for the August 31 maiden voyage can switch to one or both showcase sailings without extra charges during a special early booking window. Back-to-back voyages are also available for those interested in experiencing the ship twice.
Features and Attractions
Star of the Seas will feature attractions similar to its sister ship, Icon of the Seas, including:
- Thrill Island Waterpark
- Crown’s Edge Ropes Course
- AquaDome for performances
- Ultimate Family Townhouse with access to the Surfside neighborhood
Following its debut, Star of the Seas will offer alternating Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries, featuring stops at Perfect Day at CocoCay.
Exclusive Guest Opportunities
Passengers already booked on the official inaugural sailing can opt for the new showcase voyages at no extra cost during an exclusive early booking window. Suite guests have until February 6 to decide, while guests in other cabin types can also transfer their bookings, though specific room assignments are not guaranteed.
The back-to-back cruise option allows passengers to experience the ship’s features twice consecutively, including:

- Surfside neighborhood
