Resorts World Cruises Cancels Dubai Voyages, Shifts to Mumbai
Resorts World Cruises has announced a significant change to their schedule, cancelling 20 planned trips from Dubai. Their ship, Resorts World One, will now depart earlier than planned to homeport in Mumbai, India, starting in March.
On January 22, 2025, Resorts World Cruises informed passengers of the cancellations, citing “a change in the operational schedule.” The affected voyages were scheduled between February 26 and April 11, 2025, and included:
- 2-night trips to Doha
- 2-night trips to Sir Bani Yas
- Longer journeys to Khasab and Muscat
The cruise line is offering full refunds, including cruise fare, port charges, and shore trips, to all affected passengers. Additionally, they’re providing a free cruise credit for any itinerary booked before February 23.
While Resorts World Cruises has not provided specific reasons for these changes, the ship will now sail from March 5 to June 1, 2025, offering roundtrip cruises from Mumbai with stops in Lakshadweep, Agatti Island, and Goa.

Compensation for Affected Passengers
Passengers affected by the cancellations will receive a comprehensive compensation package covering:
- Cabin fare
- Port charges
- Any prepaid shore excursions
The cruise line is also offering a free cruise credit matching the canceled itinerary. However, passengers will need to cover port charges, gratuities, and shore excursions for these complimentary voyages.
Important note for travel agency bookings: Those who booked through travel agencies will need to engage with their travel agent to ensure the financial transactions are properly handled.
New Itinerary: Mumbai to Goa
The new itinerary for Resorts World One, starting March 5, 2025, will feature weekly roundtrip voyages from Mumbai through June 1, 2025. These sailings will include stops at:
- Lakshadweep
- Agatti Island
- Goa
This change in deployment shifts the focus from the Arabian Gulf region to India’s western coast. While passengers will miss out on destinations like Sir Bani Yas, they will have the chance to explore new locations such as the snorkeling paradise of Agatti and the cultural richness of Goa.

Sailing from Mumbai will provide guests with a mix of cosmopolitan and traditional experiences, showcasing the diverse attractions of India’s coastal regions.
