Luggage Allowances and Restrictions
Celebrity Cruises allows up to 198 pounds (90 kg) of luggage per passenger, excluding Xpedition Class ships and Galapagos trips. Checked luggage should typically be 50 to 70 pounds per bag. Carry-ons should not exceed 24″ x 16″ x 12″.

Prohibited items include:
- Open flame devices
- Firearms and replica weapons
- Hoverboards
- Irons and extension cords
Only two bottles of wine per cabin are allowed. Sharp objects with short blades, like scissors, are permitted.
If your cruise includes flying, align your packing with airline luggage policies. Keep valuables and essential documents in your carry-on. Sports gear must remain in your cabin.
Only assistance dogs are allowed, with necessary documentation. Laundry and dry cleaning services are available for a fee.
Alcohol purchased onboard or at ports will be held until the trip ends. Drones can be brought but must stay in the cabin and cannot be used onboard.
Handling and Transportation
On embarkation day, drop off your checked luggage with porters at the cruise terminal. Attach the official luggage tags sent by Celebrity Cruises or print them from your online account. Your bags will undergo a security scan and be delivered to your room, typically before evening.

Celebrity Cruises usually allows you to drop off your hand luggage in your room as soon as you board, even if the room isn’t fully ready. Keep essential items like travel documents, medications, and valuables in a small carry-on.
Porters are available to assist, and tipping for their service is customary but not required.
Consider boarding early to explore the ship while your luggage is being processed.

Understanding guidelines and packing smartly can enhance your cruise experience. Being informed about what to bring and how luggage is handled makes for a smoother journey.
