Nicole Scherzinger Christens P&O Cruises’ Arvia in Barbados
Global pop star Nicole Scherzinger has become the godmother to P&O Cruises’ newest ship, Arvia, in a beachside event in Barbados. Scherzinger christened the ship and performed, featuring hits from her Pussycat Dolls days and a rendition of Nina Simone’s “I Put A Spell On You.”

UK pop singer Olly Murs joined her on stage, performing songs like “Dance With Me Tonight” and “Troublemaker.” Sara Cox and Trevor Nelson hosted the event, which was streamed on P&O Cruises’ YouTube channel.

The ceremony included the traditional bottle smashing against the ship’s hull, using a 15-liter bottle of Mount Gay rum to honor the Caribbean.
